Agreeing to these terms
These terms explain how Masterwork San Angelo Concrete & Masonry works with homeowners and other customers, and how you may use this website. When you browse the site, ask for an estimate, schedule work or pay us, you agree to these terms.
If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site or book work with us. If something here is unclear, call us at (325) 292-0348 before you sign anything so we can talk it through.
The services we offer
We're a masonry contractor in San Angelo, TX, and we do concrete and masonry work. That includes foundation repair, chimney and brick repair, tuckpointing, retaining walls, pavers, walkways, stone veneer, block walls, fireplaces and outdoor kitchens. The home page lists every service, and our About page tells you more about how our crew works.
What we describe on this website is general information, not a promise about your job. The work we'll do on your property is whatever your written estimate or agreement lists, and nothing beyond it unless we both agree in writing.
Estimates and pricing
Our estimates are free and done in person, and asking for one doesn't obligate you to hire us. We look at the job on site because price depends on things we can only judge in person, such as access for equipment, the condition of existing brick or concrete, soil and drainage, and the materials you choose.
An estimate is our best figure for the work as we saw it on the day we looked. Sometimes we find conditions that couldn't be seen until the job is open, like rotted framing behind veneer, a failed footing or buried debris. When that happens, we stop, explain what we found and give you the added cost in writing, and we won't do the extra work until you approve it.
Unless your estimate says otherwise, it holds for 30 days. After that, material prices may have changed and we may need to update it.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We'll give you a start date and an expected length for the job, and we work hard to keep both. Weather, material delivery delays and curing time for mortar and concrete can push a schedule back, so the dates we give are targets, not guarantees.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, let us know as soon as you can by phone or through our Contact page. If we've already ordered special materials or begun work, you're responsible for the cost of those materials and the work done up to that point, as described in your written agreement.
We may reschedule if conditions on site aren't safe or would hurt the quality of the work, such as freezing temperatures during a pour. We'll tell you why and set a new date with you.
Payment terms
Your written estimate or agreement sets out the price, any deposit, any progress payments and when the final balance is due. Unless it says otherwise, the final balance is due when the work is complete.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until the account is brought current. Texas law gives contractors certain rights to secure payment for work on a property, and we reserve those rights if a balance goes unpaid.
Your part of the job
You agree to give our crew reasonable access to the work area, along with access to water and electricity if the job needs them. Please move vehicles, furniture, potted plants and other belongings out of the way before we arrive, because we can't be responsible for items left in the work area.
You're responsible for knowing where your property lines are and for telling us about anything underground we may not know about, such as sprinkler lines, private wiring or septic parts. Any permits or approvals the job needs are addressed in your written agreement, and you agree to follow any rules from your homeowners association.
Our workmanship and what we don't warrant
We stand behind our work. If you have a concern about our workmanship, call us and we'll come look at it and make it right where the problem is ours. Any specific written warranty for your job will be stated in your agreement, and that document controls.
Some things are the nature of the material, not a defect. Natural stone and brick vary in color and texture, new mortar can look different from old mortar while it weathers in, and concrete can develop small surface cracks as it cures and settles.
We don't warrant damage caused by ground movement, poor drainage we didn't install, tree roots, misuse, lack of upkeep, alterations by others or weather events. We also don't warrant products and materials beyond what their makers offer. Apart from any written warranty and anything required by law, our work and this website are provided without any other warranty, stated or implied.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and fully insured, and we take care to protect your property while we work. Even so, to the extent the law allows, Masterwork San Angelo Concrete & Masonry won't be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost use of a space, lost income or emotional distress.
Our total liability for any claim connected to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that Texas law doesn't allow us to limit.
Using this website
The articles and service descriptions on this site are general information to help you understand your project. They aren't engineering advice, and your own job may call for something different once we've seen it.
The text, photos and design of this site belong to us, and you may not copy them for commercial use without our written permission. Links to other websites are offered for your convenience, and we aren't responsible for what those sites contain.
Settling a disagreement
If something goes wrong, call us first at (325) 292-0348. Most problems get fixed fastest when we can come out, look at the work together and agree on what to do.
If we can't settle it that way within 30 days, either of us may take the matter to mediation before filing a lawsuit. If it still isn't resolved, it will be heard in the courts serving San Angelo, Texas.
Texas law applies
These terms, and any work we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. If you've already signed an agreement with us, the terms in effect when you signed apply to that job unless we both agree in writing to change them.
